....and baby makes 4....

Welcome Bernadette Rose Hope Chesebrough!

She arrived some time ago, About 3:30 (or was it 3:15, or possibly 3:45) on Wednesday August 29, 2007. Very kindly, she arrived during her scheduled appointment time!

The story of the big name behind the little girl....we have loved Bernadette Rose and her name since we found out about her. Really no discussion about her name. That's how it was with Wyatt Thomas Chesebrough, too. Except that when we found out that Bernie would be a girl, not everyone in the Chesebrough Household was as thrilled as Mommie and Daddie. Wyatt was pretty upset that he was getting a little sister and not the brother that he had asked for.

So, we decided to let him pick a name. He chose Hope after a little girl at his preschool that he was sweet on. Someone told me we're lucky we didn't end up with a 'Bernadette Rose Poop' or 'Bernadette Rose Booger'..... I have to agree. Now there's a name that will get you beat up at school!

So, we're a little slow in getting off the ground with the blog, but we're finally getting somewhere. This was supposed to be my maternity leave project but we all know what happens to those...in between the sleeping and the not sleeping and the feeding and the feeding and the feeding and the pooping and the feeding and the feeding (get the point?)....well, let's just say that 'baby makes 4' has been a big adjustment!

A great one, though. Wyatt loves 'his baby'. He's a great older brother so far and has been very understanding about all of the time a new baby requires. The only things that bother him are when she cries too much, or having to run a poopie diaper to the trash for mommie. BOO!

At some point soon (yeah right) we'll get more recent pix up. Since she's, like, 4 months old now. we're going in for her 4 month appointment today and I can't wait to see how much she's gained.
