More Summer Ffun

Fort Wayne Philarmonic Patriotic Pops Concert in front of Potowatomi Inn at Pokagon State
Park with Mimi, PawPaw, Ally, Wyatt, Bernie and Mommmie. It was so cool. The kids and adults loved it!
There were tons of people there to listen and enjoy the 'good weather'. Although the cool breeze coming off Lake James felt really great, we barely escaped a really bad storm that started not 15 minutes after the concert ended. alls well that end well. we stopped for icecream after in a downpour.

Bernie and PawPaw wrestling while Wyatt threatens to stick his stinky feet in PawPaw's face. Gross!
Next stop on the 4th of july party wagon was lake Wawasee. Here are Tate, Abby and Bernie all decked out in the 4th of july finest.
Wyatt is a big kid now and gets to light sparklers.
Wyatt's class field trip to Build a Bear workshop. It was really cute, but boy-oh-boy what a consumer money trap! Family trip to zoo. Wyatt rode the horses again. Guess which one he picked. Yeah, you guessed it--Sandy! It seems they have a real affinity, as that is the horse he's ridden several times this summer.

Wyatt and Daddie examine some bugs in the 'research lab' in the Indonesian Rain Forest at the zoo. Later that week, they replicated the experiment with a lightening bug, some foam and my pins from my sewing kit.

Mommie and Wyatt riding the carousel. We went earlier in the summer and Wyatt was well below the cutoff height line for riding for free. This time he was about a 1/2 inch over it--so he's grown at least an inch this summer! He is getting to be such a big boy.

Summer at a Glance

Lots goin' on. This pic is from our 5 year anniversary dinner in front of Captain's Cabin. so nice.

Who are these two craz-azy guys? I dunno, but they like them some Barack!

Wyatt and Cousin Abby and Wyatt enjoying snacks at Lake Wawasee.

You wanna piece a me? didn't know there was a goodfella in the family....

she gets it from her brother. (that is his finger getting ready to poke her in the eye.)

But just two seconds before they were being so cute. He was feeding her and she was laughing. I can here all of the parents of older kids thinking right now, 'get used to it.'

Totally awesome rainbow (actually, a double rainbow) over our house after a bad storm a few weeks ago. and yes, the sky really was that color. wierd green yellow.

Bernie playing outside in the grass, which she loves. she also likes to eat clovers. I keep meaning to call dr. amy's office and see if that is ok. if so, have at it kid!
Bernie and her cousin Tatum, who is three days older. They were having fun playing together although Bernie kept trying to take Tate's toys. That's ok, he was pulling her hair.

We stopped by to visit Unlce Sean at the Fire House. Wyatt loves to sit in the trucks. We had to keep reminding him they aren't toys. While we were there Sean got a call and we watched him jump into the truck and pull away. Wyatt's face was priceless--what a hero!

Uncle Sean, Aunt Courtney, Bubba and the kids in front of the truck.

We went to see an Indianapolis Indians game, too. the kids loved it. wyatt found a friend to rassle with and that kept both of them busy for a few hours.

Uncle sean let him get tattoos....one on the arm and one on the forehead. Nice, the next day we were heading down to Bloomington for Uncle Charley's funeral ceremonies. Good thing the tats wore off.

Court and Tate.

Wyatt got to see a horse up close, too. I was so afriad he try to pull something and get kicked. but that didn't happen.

Bubs, Bernie, and Mia at the lake.

Wyatt in the car.

Bernie and Campbell in the bath. seconds later they were both crying. something about a toy.

Wyatt on the computer. he has mad skills, yo.

Mommy's Birthday

I had an AWESOME birthday! Daddy got me (more than he should have) jewelry from ETSY. If you don't know what that is, google it. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME Handmade STUFF site (think the handmade equivalent to EBAY.) THanks daddy! At the end of the day, we topped it off with dinner with my side of the family at Wyatt's favorite restaurant, Dickie's Wild Hare. We think he likes it just because of the name. He usually calls it the 'Funny Bunny Restaurant.'

Bernie also started pulling herself up on stuff! And just today, she headed for the stairs. She's crawling now, and really fast! Happy Birthday Mommy, I think.
The pictures are out of order, because blogger is acting all wierd right now and won't let me cut and paste, but PAt and I also got to see Michelle Obama speak! In fact, we ended up sitting right behind her on stage! FIRED UP AND READY TO GO!!!!!!

The day started off with Wyatt and I's annual 1st trip to the zoo of the season. The Fort Wayne Children's zoo opens the week of my birthday, and I invariably have that day off, so we head to our favorite summer spot! HEre he is riding a pony named...wait for it....'Sandy'. ha hahahh ha. Mimi (what the grandkids call my mom, or 'Sandy') thought that was hi-lar-i-ous!
Wyatt in the indonesian rainforest...we were pretending like we were explorers in the jungle. We also decided the Indonesian rainforest is really stinky.

Soccer Monster!!!!!!!

Wyatt started playing soccer this spring. He really loves it--what's not to love? Running around like a crazy man, kicking a ball, and the ok to be a little rough? PERFECT. He particularly enjoys being goalie. So far we've learned lots of new things, like what does 'hustle' mean.....

Uncle Seano and Aunt Jill get Married

Here are some pix of the wedding, and all of the kids afterward with Peepaw. What a crew!
